Join Our Team

CWRFC is a competitive Division I team in the Chicago area, always looking for new athletes to join our team. Founded in 1976 and rich with tradition, we are a group of talented women spanning all ages, careers, and interests.

Whether you are a seasoned rugger or new to the game, want to play upper level rugby or at a competitive regional level, you can find a home with the Chicago Women's Rugby Team.

Our club partners with philanthropic causes including the Girls Scouts, Sporting Chance (Girls in the Game) and Misericordia Home. CWRFC also facilitates and encourages players to continue on to become coaches, referees, and to get involved in our Local Area Union (LAU) after their playing days are over.

Many of our women have found that combining rugby and career after college to be rewarding and a lot of fun! We incorporate competitive play with camaraderie on and off the field. You can find Chicago Women Ruggers and COWS ( Chicago Old Women - Alums) on select side teams, coaching staffs, and involved in administration at upper levels.
